This is the Webblog of Birdingmurcia, a PIONEERING ECOTOURISM PROJECT, through which the Association SURESTE VIVO (Non-profit Organization) pursues to offer a complete range of ornithological tourism (birdwatching), trekking and landscape interpretation activities in the Region of Murcia and the Iberian Southeast, all organized by a team of experienced local guides with a thorough knowledge of the nature of this corner of the Iberian Peninsula.

Ecotourism is becoming a emerging sector that can contribute powerfully to harmonize environmental protection and economic development in those areas in which it is taking pace. As main objective of the project Birding Murcia, Sureste Vivo seeks to integrate ecotourism activities such as hiking or birdwatching into the local economies while contributing to environmental protection. In this sense, Birding Murcia can be regarded as an innovative tourist venture in the Region of Murcia.
The aim of this project is to offer ecotourism activities in the natural environment to people interested in ornithology, hiking and to those who love nature in general, both nationals and foreigners. These are people who are willing to travel in order to practice birdwatching, getting to know new natural areas and enjoy nature and learn more about animal and plant species and their habitats. At the same time, we try to promote nature protection.
